Hospitality Committee

Hospitality CommitteeThe Hospitality Committee is a group of volunteers within the Ancala Homeowners Association committed to making this residential neighborhood a friendly and hospitable place to live.

Our mission is to develop and maintain a neighborly community at Ancala that is rich in a spirit of friendliness, courtesy, service, and helpfulness toward one another so that each resident feels acknowledged, a sense of belonging, and provided opportunities to get involved in their community. We do this by welcoming newcomers, facilitating relocation, encouraging socialization, and communication assistance

Our committee is made up of a Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and various coordinators for WineDowns (evening socials), Coffee Talks (daytime coffee events), Sunshine (recognizes events of residents – births, illness, death, etc), Resources (up-to-date information for welcome baskets), and Newcomers (tracking of new residents for welcoming). They are supported by various members who coordinate special interest activities such as a Neighborhood Clean Up Day, Blood Drive, food pantry collection, neighborhood information distribution assistance, etc.

Meetings are held once a month at a committee member’s home. Generally these meetings are the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM (9:30 AM if you'd like to socialize a bit beforehand). Meetings are listed on the Event Calendar on the private (homeowner) web site as well as in HomeTimes each month.

These monthly meetings are open to all Ancala residents and we encourage your attendance if you'd like to learn more about the Hospitality Committee and possibly join yourself. It's a great way to meet new people and to have a say in the events that happen in our community.

If you have any questions about the Hospitality Committee, please contact our onsite Executive Director.
